Annual Report: Gateways Y7 Cohort 2009-10 Summary: This report focuses on data collected from the Year 7 learner cohort who attended a Gateways visit to The University of Manchester in the academic year 2009-10. The report focuses on Year 7 exclusively due to the fact that the Gateway Programme is a “progression” model and it is expected that these learners will participate in the programme throughout the duration of their secondary education. This report aims to determine whether or not the Gateway Programme is engaging successfully with the desired target groups – learners from local communities who are currently under-represented within HE.
