Neonatal Care Leave Policy Summary: This policy is designed to support parents navigating the emotional and practical challenges of caring for a newborn receiving neonatal care. All colleagues who are parents of a baby admitted to the hospital within 28 days of birth and requiring "neonatal care" (as defined in the policy) for seven continuous days or more will be entitled to neonatal leave. Colleagues will be entitled to take one week’s neonatal care leave for every uninterrupted week their baby receives neonatal care up to a maximum of twelve weeks.
