Navigating the Backlash: The Future of British Climate Strategy Summary: How is British politics changing in ways that affect the pursuit of ambitious climate action? In this report, based on a workshop of academic experts and key NGO participants, we present the key implications of recent changes, notably a rising backlash against climate policy, and the shift in approach by the Conservative government in response to it. It raises various new dilemmas for the main two political parties themselves, which those pushing for ambitious climate action need to understand.
