COOLTRANS - Public perceptions of risk.
Summary: This report presents results from a study into the public perceptions of the risks of CO2 transportation by pipeline. It has been produced as part of COOLTRANS (Dense Phase Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Pipeline Transportation), a large consortium project funded by National Grid. The overall aim of the COOLTRANS programme is to carry out research to inform the design and safe
operation of pipelines for the transportation of dense phase anthropogenic CO2 as part of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) schemes. This Executive Summary reviews the wider conclusions from
Work Package 5.2, undertaken by the team at the University of Manchester.
