Fairtrade Statement Summary: The University of Manchester and The University of Manchester Students’ Union Fairtrade Statement. The University commits to supporting, using and promoting Fairtrade products. Where it is not feasible, whether for reasons of price, supply, availability, contractual obligations or otherwise, (including compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015) the University commits to begin selling Fairtrade products as soon as feasible or alternatively, if possible, source more ethically traded products. This will be achieved by following the standards to achieve Fairtrade status as defined by the Fairtrade Foundation. The Fairtrade Foundation has outlined five goals which must be achieved by a Fairtrade University.
