Business Case template Summary: A Business Case is owned by the Project Sponsor and may be written by the business lead or Project Manager, It details the aims of the project and why it should be done now (the Strategic Case), an analysis of possible options (the economic Case) and an outline of how the project will be delivered and the benefits realised. It provides the foundation for the management of the project and provides the detail needed for project approval.
